About Us

Jury Solutions, LLC is comprised of a small number of devoted colleagues, sharing one thing in common: We are motivated by a "job well done." That's why none of our clients are ever put on the back burner. When you work with Jury Solutions, your case is our number one priority. You can expect to receive services that are on target, on time, on budget, and delivered with the highest standards of professionalism. But most importantly, you get a work product that delivers results you can use, either as leverage to negotiate the best possible settlement, or to win your case at trial.

Jury Solutions, LLC is a full service trial consulting firm. We've worked for corporations of all sizes, including some of the world's largest, as well as individuals in all different kinds of cases, both civil and criminal. Our work goes far beyond facilitating jury research projects or assisting lawyers in-court during jury selection.  As legal strategists, we help lawyers re-evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of a particular case, all the time focusing on what is most important to lay decision-makers.  Lawyers routinely turn to us seeking input concerning initial client intake interviews, expert and fact witnesses, demonstrative evidence, and mediation strategies.

Carolyn S. Koch, J.D.
Ms. Koch is a trial consultant and the principal of Jury Solutions LLC, in Fairfax, Virginia.  An attorney admitted to the Connecticut and D.C. Bars, Ms. Koch has over seventeen years of experience with jury research techniques such as mock trials, focus groups and attitude surveys.  She uses these tools to assist trial attorneys in both civil and criminal cases, all over the country. Her work has helped plaintiff’s employment lawyers achieve some of the highest verdicts in New Jersey state history, such as a case resulting in a 10 million dollar punitive damage award against Avaya Corporation.  She also assisted the criminal defense in the high profile criminal defense of United States of America vs. Richard Convertino, a former ASUA for the Department of Justice who was acquitted of all charges in one day after a four week trial.

Ms. Koch is also an accomplished speaker and has participated in many accredited CLEs at local, state and national levels. She has appeared on national news as a commentator on CNN and Fox news. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Connecticut, and with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

Carolyn provided on point and instructive insight into the minds of the potential jurors. I occasionally found myself veering away from her concentrated focus and would call to discuss my ideas. She was able to talk through the good ones and explain why the others were counterproductive. I thought of her then and even more so after the verdict that she was my “case therapist”. With her input I remained confident and focused in the trial. The verdict reflected her work on me, and the case. I was more than thrilled to have her support.
Bruce L. Elstein, partner, Goldman Gruder & Woods, LLC, whose above testimonial derives from his work on a precedent-setting HIPAA case (Bryne vs. Avery Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology, P.C.) that took 12 years to get to a jury.
